The Belgrade Business International Case Competition (BBICC) 2016 was officially open on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences. BBICC 2016 will take place from 4-9 April.
The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Aleksandar Vučić, Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Professor Srđan Verbić, Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development, Professor Živoslav Tešić, Vice Rector for Science, Innovation and Transfer of Technologies at the University of Belgrade, Mr. Milan Petrović, President of the Serbian Association of Managers, Professor Milija Suknović, Dean of the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, as well as 64 students from all over the world, their university teachers, representatives of the academic community and leading companies in Serbia.
Professor Vesna Damnjanović, Managing Director of the competition and Mr. Lazar Đelić, president of the competition welcomed all the participants. They also thanked all those who recognized the importance of the competition which supports the development of ideas by some of the most talented students. Apart from the students competing in BBICC, the event was attended by their mentors and the professors of the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, as well as partners and friends of BBICC.
The participants of this year’s competition are students form 16 Universities from all over the world: BI Norwegian Business School, Carleton University, Chulalongkorn University, Concordia University, Copenhagen Business School, Dublin Institute of Technology, Hong Kong University of Science And Technology, Maastricht University, National University of Singapore, Shantou University, Simon Fraser University, University of Belgrade, University of California Berkeley, University of Florida, University of Melbourne, Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania. Their task will be to solve a real business problem offering innovative ideas.
Belgrade Business International Case Competition 2016 (BBICC 2016) is a global undergraduate business case competition that is being held for the fourth time in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. As one of the top global business case competitions, BBICC provides unique opportunity for international business schools not only to take part in a challenging case competition, but also to experience Serbia and its culture.
