On Saturday, 8th of April 2017, Belgrade Business International Case Competition 2017 has officially ended. In total, 64 students from 16 universities from USA, Australia, Canada, Portugal, Denmark, Norway, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand and Serbia have been solving two case studies as a part of fifth Belgrade Business International Case Competition (BBICC). BBICC was organized by the Center for Business Case Studies of the Faculty of organizational sciences (FOS) and student organization Case Study Club in the period between 3rd and 8th of April.
First case study was provided by the leading gaming company – Nordeus, and students had 5 hours to solve it. Second case study was provided by the Government of the Republic of Serbia, and students were asked to brand Serbia as the next business and tourist destination, for which they had 24 hours. Teams had the opportunity to present their solutions to the respected and eminent jury, consisting of the representatives from the Government of the Republic of Serbia, top managers, consultants of the leading companies from Serbia and alumni members of the student organization Case Study Club.
“I am certain that you have shown how good you understand business and how much you will contribute to the countries where you will work. Knowledge that students from other countries and from the Faculty of Organizational Sciences have shown is very precious for the development of economy of Serbia that is in great expand” said Mladen Šarčević, Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development in the Government of the Republic of Serbia.
Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government in the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, said that it was her great pleasure that the Government of the Republic of Serbia has supported fifth annual international competition in business case study solving BBICC 2017. She has also announced the winners of the competition on the official closing ceremony.
Winner of the BBICC 2017 is Nanyang Technological University from Singapore. Second placed is Thammasat University from Thailand, while third place belongs to National University of Singapore.
