International accreditation awarded to Faculty of Organizational Sciences

The Faculty of Organisational Sciences (FOS), University of Belgrade has successfully completed the international accreditation process for all three undergraduate academic study programs. The accreditation has been awarded by ASIIN – the Accreditation Agency for Degree Programmes in Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences and Mathematics e.V from Germany (Akkreditierungsagentur für Studiengänge der Ingenieurwissenschaften, der Informatik, der Naturwissenschaften und der Mathematik e.V, Deutschland, http://www.asiin.de/).

As a confirmation of international quality of FOS study programmes, this accreditation leads to increased international recognition and visibility of FOS, and to greater mobility of students and graduates.

The accreditation encompasses all three undergraduate study programmes:

  1. Information Systems and Technologies,
  2. Information Systems and Technologies – distance learning, and
  3. Management and Organisation.

The demanding accreditation process evaluated the quality of study programmes, from structure to teaching methods, organisation of examinations, Faculty staff, investing in the Faculty’s human resources and students, transparency, quality control, i.e. quality assessment and development.

Information Systems and Technologies as well as the respective distance learning programme were also among the first ones in Serbia to be awarded the Euro-Inf stamp. This stamp is an acknowledgement of quality and the fulfillment of standards for study programs related to computer science.

In addition to FOS, ASSIN stamp holders include leading German universities, as well as academic institutions from Finland, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Spain, Poland, etc.
