On Wednesday, March 27, 2019, the eighth International Info Day was held at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences in order to inform undergraduate, master and PhD students, teachers, associates and non-teaching staff on existing exchange programmes, opportunities for financing mobility, going on full degree studies, internship, training and conducting research abroad.

Participants of the event were representatives of the Tempus Foundation, the University of Belgrade, the French Institute in Serbia, the German Academic Exchange Services, then the representatives of the partner universities: the University of Zagreb – the Faculty of Organization and Informatics, the University of Stockholm – the Stockholm Business School and the University of Žiline – Faculty for Management Science and Informatics, as well as student organizations AIESEC and ESTIEM.

The event was opened by professor Sanja Marinković, the vice dean for international cooperation who greeted all participants of the International Info Day and thanked them for having responded to the call to present their programmes and encouraged students to ask questions and get as much information as possible about the opportunities available to them during and after the studies.

 

In the first part of the Info Day, Sofija Petrović from the Tempus Foundation presented the exchange programmes Erasmus+ and CEEPUS, a joint Erasmus Mundus Master Study programmes and Europass documents useful to students applying for one of these programmes. Colleague Dušan Bugarski from International Relations Office of the University of Belgrade presented the MOBION platform as a tool for applying Erasmus+ mobility for students at the University of Belgrade.

Opportunities provided by the German Academic Exchange Service – DAAD were presented by  Daliborka Maldaner who talked about possibilities for studying and training in Germany. The French Institute in Serbia was presented by Sandra Elezović and Vesna Adamović who presented scholarships awarded by the French Government to study in France.

Partner universities had their presentations in the second part of the Info Day. University of Stockholm and Stockholm Business School was presented by professor Nishant Kumar. The professor spoke about the life of students in Sweden, the opportunities for participating in summer schools and the Global Week traditionally held in May each year at the Stockholm Business School. University of Žiline and Faculty of Management Science and Informatics presented Professor Peter Marton. The professor spoke about the students’ possibilities to spend one or two semesters in exchange in Slovakia and the benefits that Erasmus students have at their disposal. Professors Kumar and Marton stayed at FON this week on the basis of their Erasmus + teacher exchange, so students attended their lectures during regular classes. In this part of the event, partners from Croatia, Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI) from Varaždin had their own presentation. During this week, 47 students and employees of FOI stayed in a three-day study visit to FON where they participated in numerous activities organized for them.

 

In the third segment of the event, a workshop was organized – “How to apply for Erasmus+ exchange?”. The workshop was held by Bojana Ivanović, officer, and Marko Zuber, intern at the International Relations Office at the Faculty. During the two hours of the workshop, mobility concepts within the Erasmus+ programme, exchange areas for FON students, scholarship rates, mobility review from 2016/17, 2017/18 and 2018/19 were presented, a list of institutions where students and staff of the Faculty can or went on the exchange so far, as well as the concept of documentation preparation and registration on the MOBION platform. The students showed great interest in this workshop. Students who already participated in mobility programmes shared their exchange experiences: Bojana Bakić, who spent one year at the University of Glasgow in Scotland, Anja Djurović, who spent one semester at the Middlesex University in the UK and one semester at the Berlin School of Economics and Law in Germany, Milica Marković, who spent one semester at Malardalen University in Sweden and Natasa Vratonjić, who spent a semester at the State University of Plock, Poland.

During the entire duration of the event, stands at the Faculty Hall had: Faculty of Organizational Sciences (FON), Tempus Foundation, French Institute in Serbia, University of Zagreb – Faculty of Organization and Informatics, University of Žiline – Faculty of Management Science and Informatics and student organizations AIESEC and ESTIEM. Interested students could be further informed about the programmes they offer at the stands. On the stand of FON, students Bojana Bakić and Natasa Vratonjić gave information about mobility, application procedure and their experiences.
