Students of the Leiden University from the Netherlands visited the Faculty of Organizational Sciences on Thursday, 2 February 2023. The visit was organized as part of a study visit of 60 students from the Student Association B.I.L. from The Hague to Belgrade and Serbia. The students visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defence Republic of Serbia, the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, the Museum of Yugoslavia and the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Organizational Sciences.
At the beginning of the event, the students were warmly welcomed by Prof. Sandra Jednak, PhD, Vice- Dean for International Cooperation. The presentation about the University of Belgrade was delivered by Nikola Savić from the International Relations Office of the University, after which Prof. Jednak gave a presentation about the Faculty of Organizational Sciences. Representatives of student organizations of the Faculty presented the goals and projects of their organizations: Student Parliament, Case Study Club, the Union of Students of FOS, FOS Student Alliance, Centre for Career Development, FOS Student Association, Debate Club FOS, AIESEC, ESTIEM, FONIS and SportFON. The presentation about the guests was delivered by Abel ter Steege, Member of the Study Association B.I.L., who spoke about the establishment, goals, activities, and fields of work of his organization.
In the second part of the event, the Faculty was visited by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, H.E. Mr Joost Reintjes. On this occasion, he spoke about his career path in diplomacy in numerous countries around the world, and also about his stay in Serbia, economic and political relations. H.E. Mr Joost Reintjes praised the quality of food in Serbia, and fruit in particular, emphasised the similarities between the Serbs and the Dutch, and highlighted the benefits of living in Serbia.
