Workshop ” Inclusive Digital Transformation in Higher Education ” for participants of the Erasmus+ project U2SID 

As part of the Erasmus+ project “University to Society Collaborations for Inclusive Digital Transformation in the Western Balkans – U2SID,” a workshop on “Inclusive Digital Transformation in Higher Education” was organized on Thursday and Friday, December 14 and 15, 2023, at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences. 

The event was opened by Prof. Dr. Sladjana Benkovic, full professor, and the coordinator of the Erasmus+ project U2SID for the University of Belgrade. On behalf of the Dean’s Board, the participants of the project were greeted and warmly welcomed to Belgrade, with best wishes for a successful collaboration and stay, by Prof. Dr. Sandra Jednak, Vice Dean for International Cooperation at the Faculty. 

During the first day, participants explored key issues related to artificial intelligence, with a focus on its ethical application and challenges in higher education, under the guidance of distinguished experts, professors at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences: Prof. Dr. Vladan Devedžić and Prof. Dr. Jelena Jovanović. This was a highly engaging session that required active participation and pre-prepared contributions from all partners in the U2SID project. Following that, Mr. Filip Milošević from the SHARE Foundation spoke about cybersecurity, emphasizing the crucial role of the academic community in raising awareness and building essential competencies in this field. Additionally, a project management meeting was held to review the current progress of project activities and discuss the next steps for the period January-April 2024. 

On the second day of the event, professors and assistants from the Department of E-Business at the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Marijana Despotović Zrakić and Prof. Dr. Aleksandra Labus, spoke on the topic of Blockchain Technologies in E-Business Eco System. Prof. Dr. Zorica Bogdanović and Tamara Naumović discussed Blockchain Technologies in Industry 4.0, while Petar Lukovac covered Blockchain Exercise: PyTeal. 

This two-day workshop represents a mobility and training event aimed at bringing together participants in the U2SID project for in-depth exploration of contemporary technological advancements impacting the academic sphere, based on exchanges with partners at the University of Belgrade. Workshop participants included representatives from the following institutions: University Luigj Gurakuqi of Shkodra, University Fan S Noli in Korca, Mediterranean University of Albania, Center Science and Innovation for Development, Center for Comparative and International Studies, National Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation from Albania, and the University of Montenegro from Montenegro.
