FOS students Andjela Žikić and Luka Bogavac, teamed up with Luka Milošević, a student of the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering, University of Belgrade, won the first place in the team category and the third place in the overall ranking at the Seventh English Language Olympiad for engineering students organized by Moscow State University H.E. Bauman (https://nsce.bmstu.net/).

This year’s competition with international participation was held from March 28th to March 30th in an online format, and its main theme was bioengineering. The participants competed both individually and as teams. Besides being proficient in English for specific engineering purposes, the participants displayed analytical, problem-solving, creativity and other skills.

This was the first time a team from Belgrade University participated in the event. Under the mentorship of Assistant Professor Jelena Anđelković, our team won the first place in the team category of the competition by successfully finding a creative solution to a randomly assigned engineering problem and presenting it in a video news report format.
